Technosound installs Community at Mercedes

LEBANON: Beirut-based distributor and systems integrator, Technosound, has recently installed a Community Professional loudspeaker system for a Mercedes-Benz showroom in the city. The lack of a traditional ceiling in the open space led to a pendant speaker solution for the T. Gargour & Fils owned showroom.

Technosound became involved with the project due to its relationship with the company's management and was contracted to design and install the system. 'Mercedes-Benz required a good sound system based on pendant speakers due to the design of the showroom,' explained Technosound's Pierre Fahed. 'Community speakers were the best quality solution.'

The design called on a distributed system of 14 Community DP6 pendant speakers. These are powered by a single QSC ISA500TI amplifier. Sources for the system include a TEAC TR650 stereo tuner and an AKG WMS450HH radio mic for speech with mixing via an ART MX622F.

It was a two-day installation which the customer is reportedly very happy with. 'The result was fantastic,' concluded Mr Fahed. 'It was better than they were expecting.'
