TW Audio rides high at Chi Al Shaqab

QATAR: The fourth edition of the Chi Al Shaqab, which recently took place in Doha’s Al Shaqab Equestrian Center, provided a showcase for a TW Audio sound system provided by local A/V supplier Al Isteklal IAC Qatar, in addition to the equestrian competition.
The event, presented under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Thani, incumbent Emir of Qatar and Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani, featured show-jumping, dressage and para-dressage. During the tournament, as well as enjoying the competition in the semi-roofed outdoor arena, attendees were able to explore a commercial village, entertainment tent, fun area, VIP lounges, restaurants and food courts.
A total of 24 Vera10 loudspeakers were hung from trusses in the outdoor arena with 12 B30 subwoofers. The sound system in the entertainment tent comprised eight Vera10 loudspeakers combined with four B30 subwoofers and four T24 units that were used as a delay line. Meanwhile, in the fun zone another eight Vera10 loudspeakers were utilised alongside two BSX subwoofers, while 16 M8 loudspeakers were deployed in the VIP area.
‘We felt honoured when asked to supply the sound system for this very prestigious equestrian tournament,’ said Al Isteklal IAC Qatar project manager, Elie Salameh. ‘We knew that we couldn’t go wrong with TW Audio. For the outer arena with its filigree roof structure we required a visually discreet system, which was nonetheless capable of delivering an utmost intelligible and clear sound for the announcements. All in all it was an extraordinary successful event and our client was extremely pleased with the outcome.’
