UBMS and MediaCast host Blackmagic workshop

UAE: At the recent Photography Live event in Dubai, Blackmagic Design reseller UBMS (United Broadcast and Media Solutions) teamed up with the manufacturer’s Middle East distributor, MediaCast, to deliver a filmmaking workshop. Demonstrated at the seminar were several Blackmagic products, including the Video Assist 4K, Pocket Cinema Camera, Micro Cinema Camera and the DaVinci Resolve.
‘I was impressed with the turnout and enthusiasm of the attendees,’ noted Lawrence Mallari, pre-sales manager at MediaCast, who was involved in running the workshop. ‘We were able to reach out to an exciting community of people who were relatively new to Blackmagic Design. The focus of the workshop was to encourage the crowd to think of how to improve their craft and demonstrated how aspects like dynamic range and sensor type create a massive difference in photography and videography results.’
‘There is a sizeable number of DSLR users who make the best use of their cameras for videography,’ added a UBMS spokesperson. ‘Our workshop was targeting those aspiring filmmakers, to help them step into the professional filmmaking world with Blackmagic Design cameras.’
