Ultrasone wins Bavarian Export Award

WORLD: German headphone manufacturer Ultrasone AG has been awarded the Bavarian Export Award 2010 in the ‘Industry’ category.
The Export Awards are presented by the Bavarian Association for International Economic Relations to internationally successful Bavarian companies. With awards in five categories, the awards are intended to showcase the particular innovation of medium-sized companies.
‘Our motivation behind the Bavarian Export Award is to honour the specific successes of Bavarian companies in opening up new markets abroad, particularly in such difficult economic conditions, and moreover, to encourage other companies to successfully exploit the opportunities available in the international marketplace,’ said Martin Zeil, Bavarian minister for economic affairs, infrastructure, transport and technology and acting first minister of Bavaria, who awarded Ultrasone AG employees with the accolade.
‘A significant part of our future lies in exports,’ said Michael Zirkel Ultrasone AG COO in charge of exports. ‘German products have an extremely good reputation, particularly abroad. This having been said, it is of course also up to us to consistently prove this reputation through research and premium manufacturing.’
The glamorous award ceremony was held to coincide with Export Day 2010 in Munich. Dr Manfred Gößl, acting CEO of the Munich chamber of commerce and industry summarised the significance of the award: ‘The Bavarian Export Award is the most coveted accolade in Germany for export success.’ Michael Willberg, CEO at Ultrasone AG is also aware of the significance of the award: ‘We are very proud that our successful international sales have been noted at the highest levels and we are delighted to accept the award. For us, this accolade is added motivation to continue pushing forward our international business in the future.’
