Water show park gets the One Systems treatment in Turkey

TURKEY: Akhan SES Isik Ve Gorsel Sistemler Tic recently designed and installed a plethora of weatherproof One Systems speakers into the Ankara Sinpas water show park and luxury residence development in Istanbul. HEC Group of Istanbul also assisted in the installation.
The installation comprised a number of One Systems 312CIM full-range speakers with 218Sub-W subwoofers, which were reportedly selected ‘to ensure the durability and weatherproofing of the sound system for the next decade’.
The Ankara Sinpas sales offices aims to provide enhanced entertainment services to future owners of 1,000 luxury apartment flats that are currently under construction. Key to this is the Sinpas’ show of water, music and light.
‘The system is completely exposed to weather year round, along with the spray from the fountains,’ said Haluk Akgun, managing director of Akhan SES. ‘Not only did we have a need for weatherproof speakers, but each needed to be high powered and highly intelligible. Therefore, One Systems speakers matched our client’s needs perfectly.’
Working closely with the client, Mr Akgun and his team created a surround sound system, for which Mr Akgun designed the cabling, conduit and tower designs, as well as the speaker placement throughout the 37,161 sq-m space.
Each 312CIM and 218 Sub-W subwoofer were installed on large poles surrounding the park’s fountains using customised pole mounts provided by Mr Akhan. These were placed in configurations of four 312CIMs and two 218s on each pole.
‘One Systems’ competitors could not compete on this project with what One Systems offers,’ said Mr Akgun. ‘The fact that One Systems speakers are fully weatherproof, highly intelligible and well priced made them a sure bet. One Systems was the best choice for this venue and we are all very pleased with the performance.’
