SOUTH AFRICA: Shure and its South African distributor, Wild and Marr, will be presenting its Masterclass at the APSO training facility in Isando, Johannesburg, running from 30 May to 3 June. The workshops will be hosted by staff from the manufacturer’s MEA office, providing Certified Sales and Technical Application training for its A/V conferencing solution, Microflex Advance (MXA).

The seminars are open to all A/V professionals and systems integrators. The first day’s workshop on 30 May is aimed at sound engineers, production professionals, system integrators and IT professionals within A/V conferencing with a presentation entitled Audio Networking Mastered and Wireless Audio Mastered for Installed Applications. The second day will cover the history, science and best-practice behind modern microphones and is geared towards audio engineers, production professionals and musicians on Tuesday 31 May.

Wednesday 1 June will see a Wireless Workbench masterclass held for those primarily within the broadcast, rental and pro-audio markets. The opportunity to gain MXA Sales Certification is provided on Thursday 2 June, while MXA Technical Application Certification will be taught on Friday 3 June.

‘After a successful event last year, we are excited to welcome the Shure MEA Team back in 2016,’ said Andrew Sorrill, sales and marketing manager at Wild & Marr. ‘Shure has a number of new products that we would like to introduce to the market, highlighting how flexible they are for A/V conferencing and system integration. The event will also cater for the professional audio market.’
