UAE: As it continues to penetrate the Middle Eastern marketplace, WyreStorm recently held a two-day training event to support its regional distributors and dealers in Dubai. The sessions were led by the manufacturer’s product manager, James Meredith, alongside sales manager for the Middle East, Talha Abdul Wadood.

The seminar began with a company introduction and overview of the latest products. The first day then comprised training that focused on A/V over IP, with those in attendance exposed to WyreStorm’s NetworkHD line of products.

HD distribution, 4K/UHD and predicting future trends were the topics of the second day, while broadcasting standards, HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 were also explored. The company’s 4K HDMI and HDBaseT matrix switcher and extender products were displayed to attendees.

Enado and Enado Mini control systems, as well as Version 4 of the Enado software, were also detailed during day two, as BYOD browser A/V control was discussed. Also examined was the WyreStorm ScreenLink collaboration software for SW-0501 HDBaseT and IP presentation switchers that enable wireless conversations in boardrooms and classrooms.

‘The training was very useful, both for finding out more about 4K and the many differences between features of current 4K products as well as the requirements for designing 4K networks and the required bandwidth,’ said Paul Crow of Zerone Technologies. ‘Learning about the pros and cons of each of the technologies currently available and then seeing the exciting new features of the WyreStorm line-up using those technologies really helped us understand the problems the products solve and the benefits they offer, especially the amazing Network HD Touch Control Interface and the PIP capability.’
