Meeting the demand for a compact subwoofer that can pack into trucks and sea containers, Adamson Systems Engineering has introduced the E119 subwoofer as the latest addition to its E-Series family. Developed with input from global A/V company Eighth Day Sound, the front-loaded E119 comprises a long-excursion 19-inch SD19 Kevlar neodymium driver featuring the manufacturer’s Advanced Cone Architecture and Symmetrical Drive Technology. The driver itself has a dual 5-inch voice coil with what Adamson describes as a dual-spider suspension system ‘for extra stability under extreme excursion’. It boasts a reported 30-60Hz frequency range and a maximum SPL of 138dB.

Measuring 525mm x 749mm x 889mm and constructed using marine-grade birch plywood and aircraft-grade steel and aluminium, the enclosure weighs 56.7kg. Connections include four Speakon NL4 connectors, two parallel I/O rear plugs and two dedicated cardioid input connectors on the front. The E119 can be flown using the E-Frame Sub and can travel on installed casters, or on a 3-high covered dolly.
