Adamson releases Blueprint AV for complex simulations

Expanding on its more simplified Shooter software package, Adamson’s Blueprint AV Software Suite helps engineers plan their system design with the help of 2D and 3D visualisations of complex listening environments. Operators are able to build up listening environments, hang multiple arrays and provide a simulation of the space with acoustically predictive tools. A rigging plot can then be produced and exported to a DXF file and handed to the rigging team.

Users have the option of working in either 2D mode to determine optimal splay settings for their arrays in simple environments, or 3D mode, which allows for a variety of polygonal shapes to be employed to create more complex listening environments. According to the manufacturer, the level of detail provided by the software is ‘totally user-definable’.

Multiple simulation options exist including SPL measurements, which can be measured using standard and proprietary weighting curves, as well as standard 1/3 octave frequencies or a full range average. Delay, directivity and virtual microphone responses can also be calculated. A vertical SPL option allows users to see an array’s vertical SPL response, measuring the initial coverage to the amount of coverage delivered to the extreme back of the intended listening area.

The suite also comes pre-loaded with acoustic data from Adamson’s complete line array product range, with plans to add all point source products in the near future. The software is being released via a licensing system that will allow end-users to distribute pre-determined copies to their team of technicians, however all turnkey Adamson systems will come with a Blueprint AV license.
