AFMG’s EASE Focus 2.2 targets rental businesses

AFMG has released the latest version of its free loudspeaker simulation tool in the shape of EASE Focus 2.2. The manufacturer claims that the new features found in its latest offering are sure to make the software ‘even more valuable to system technicians around the world’. The update is intended to be of particular benefit to rental businesses.
The first key enhancement is that version 2.2 now provides support for conventional ‘box-type’ loudspeakers in a mixed project together with line arrays. In fact, a maximum of 16 sound sources can be combined to a complex system, including combinations of front-fills, side-fills, under-balcony systems and delay lines with the main systems.
Additionally, in v2.2 SPL and frequency response can be examined and compared across all audience areas while ‘Virtual EQ’ settings can be simulated. The DLL concept allows manufacturers to provide all control options of their systems (including DSP settings) and users to pre-configure their setups to become turnkey solutions for a production.
