AirPlayList 2.0 joins the Media Assist software suite

Netia has integrated its AirPlayList 2.0 module into the Media Assist software suite. The module has been designed to enable automated playout of numerous radio channels at the same time as well as providing guaranteed redundancy.
The AirPlayList 2.0 module reportedly provides content delivery networks with targeted encoding of audio streams and can also utilise Media Assist’s AirPush module’s datacasting functionality to supply associated metadata, including artist name and track title. AoIP compliant, users are able to use the module to broadcast via IP-based virtual drivers, as well as by way of a traditional sound card.
What the manufacturer describes as the module’s ‘intuitive web-based interface’ allows efficient monitoring of playout on each channel and media status checks. VST audio processing plugins have also been integrated, granting extra control over a broadcast item’s audio consistency and loudness.
