AKG turns to iPad with Perception

AKG has released an iPad application designed to take users through its Perception range of microphones and headphones, offering ‘intricate, interactive and informative demonstrations’.

Described as ‘the ultimate guide for all musicians, producers and engineers’, the magazine-style app offers a visual tour through the range with descriptions and specification for each product plus suggested applications. A history of the AKG brand and its historic products is also included.

Making use of social networking, users can also copy and paste any section of the iPad app into a Facebook and Twitter account, or email a section directly from within the software.

The manufacturer has also updated its iPhone app to v2.0, offering new features and an updated interface. The app allows users to monitor and configure AKG wireless systems through an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad using HiQnet, as well as tackling system design and sound-checking. A newly adopted Alert system also automatically issues a warning if there is a low microphone battery or an antenna malfunction, while the app will suggest possible solutions for signal issues.

Both applications are available via the Apple iStore
