Apantac and Roland Systems Group have teamed up to show interoperability between the Tahoma-DL ‘hybrid’ multiviewer and the V-1600HD multi-format switcher.
According to both manufacturers the combined technology provides an ‘all-in-one’ multi-input, multi-channel, and multi-format switching / multi-image display solution which is ‘ideal’ for live production. Both products support HD/SD-SDI, RGB, component, DVI, HDMI, and composite inputs.
The manufacturers report that serial and GPI tally integration between the V-1600HD and the Tahoma ‘hybrid’ multiviewer are ‘seamless’, reportedly providing users with enhanced communication for identifying sources.
Meanwhile, Apantac has also announced that it has added to its MT Hood series of signal processing solutions with the introduction of its new HDBaseT HDMI extender and receiver.
The single port HDMI extenders (HDBT-1-E) and receivers (HDBT-1-R) are applicable for any professional A/V application requiring the extension of HDMI signals up to 100m. The HDBaseT HDMI uses HDBaseT technology for transmitting uncompressed high definition digital video, audio, 3D video, and various control signals such as RS232 and IR. This is all via a single CATx cable.
Finally, the manufacturer is pleased to announce the release its new SDI to fibre extender/receiver set, the latest addition to its Mazama series of fibre extension solutions.
The SDI to fibre extension set includes a transmitter and receiver for sending multi-rate SDI up to 18 miles using a single-mode or multi-mode fibre optic cable with ST connectors. Described as a ‘miniature-style’ extension solution, it supports all SDI formats up to 3G including SMPTE-424M (3G-SDI), SMPTE-292M (HD-SDI), and SMPTE-259M (SD-SDI) protocols. To prevent signal loss, input signals are equalized and outputs are reclocked to 120m for 3G-SDI, and 140m for HD-SDI.
