AMX turns IP phones into room control interfaces

AMX has released the NXV-CPI control phone interface, a device that transforms Cisco IP phones into control room interfaces.
The ‘budget-conscious’ NXV-CPI allows control of teleconferencing, audio, video and environmental controls from a choice of two Cisco phones.
When paired with a NetLinx controller, the NXV-CPI allows Cisco phone users to gain a basic level of control with minimal investment in a new infrastructure. Using the phones' built-in touch screen, hard buttons, soft keys or numeric keypad, users can access and control systems in the meeting room they are working in.
The manufacturer reports that its resource management suite can also provide a company with a solution for a whole building, rather than being limited to a single room.
The NXV-CPI is specified for use with Cisco CP-7965G and CP-7975G phones.
