Analog Way goes live

French A/V specialist, Analog Way, is targeting live events with Control Box. Housed in an aluminium case equipped with 99 function-labelled keys and a T-bar for manual transitions, the Control Box includes Mac and Windows software. Any presets (screen, master, confidence or monitoring) can reportedly be instantly loaded and the displayed source in the background can be changed. The unit has been designed for to work in conjunction with all of the LiveCoreT series of switchers.
Staying with switchers, Saphyr is a 2U mixer native matrix switcher based on the manufacturer’s Midra platform. Incorporating upgraded connectivity through 10 seamless inputs and 16 input plugs, Saphyr can switch between any of its 10 inputs reportedly without loss of sync. In addition to featuring a matrix mode with two outputs and custom output format management, there is also an additional video/recording output. It can also embed or de-embed digital audio on its SDI, HDMI and DVI-D connectors both for inputs and outputs.
Away from new releases, the manufacturer has also been busy with a number of upgrades. The LiveCore Series of A/V video processors now offer a reduction in latency when using the follow mode. When the internal rate is generated by the follow mode of an input, all the inputs synchronised with this reference have a minimal latency of one frame at the output of the LiveCore unit. As a further feature of the upgrade, the unit also allows for a different rate to be set from the internal rate to an output. The new version can now manage the frames and logos of the linked slave device from the master device, so that when two LiveCore units are linked together, eight frames and eight logos are available instead of four.
Also important for LiveCore users is the new version of the AW VideoCompositor. Integrating a Crestron software development package to control the features of any LiveCore A/V processor, the AW VideoCompositor promotes the creation of unique solutions using a single Crestron touchscreen. It also offers the visualisation in real time of the whole scene with layer positions, display of sources’ snapshots refreshed automatically, layer source management through drag and drop, capability to change position and size of a layer with the flick of a finger and monitoring mosaic configuration. Version V03 further allows the support of perspective layers screens and the control of the confidence screens.
Finally, a new 1.5 version of AW Toolbox App for iPad can be downloaded to control the LiveCore series anywhere in a venue. Whilst fine-tuning any multi-projector soft edge blending, it can also recall presets and master presets and configure the processor’s inputs and outputs via Wi-Fi.
