Ashly returns to the console market

Ashly Audio is getting back to its mixing consoles roots with the digiMix24, a 24-channel digital mixing console designed with houses of worship, educational facilities, gyms, auditoriums and performance spaces in mind. The first in what the manufacturer says will become a range of digital mixing consoles, the digiMix24 incorporates the integration of remote control via an iPad.
The digiMix24 has two operating modes. A technical mode, which serves as the default for audio professionals and engineers, and the ‘EZ-Mode’ that Ashly has equipped for non-technical users, such as the volunteers in a house of worship.
The console’s 24 inputs include 16 Class-A mic/line inputs. A total of eight aux outputs and eight channel inserts, 33 equalisation processing and dynamics channels and two stereo effects processors also feature as well as up to 14 mix busses.
The control surface is paired up with a 7-inch touchscreen, offering intelligent metering and motorised faders. Dante and USB connectivity are offered with optional cards that can be installed on the digiMix24, while the system management software reportedly simplifies the save, load and copy mixer setups.
Meanwhile, in keeping with what the company has built itself on in recent years, Ashly has also expanded its nX-Series of amplifiers with the new models delivering 75W or 150W to either two channels or four within a single rack unit. Reportedly completing the nX family, these new multi-mode amps are designed primarily for multi-room installations and include the option to include a Dante network card.
