Atlona strengthens its 4K focus

A number of 4K-flavoured products have been introduced by Atlona, including a switcher series at the top of the company’s range, three 4K distribution amps and a collaboration system.
First is the AT-UHD-SW-5000ED, which joins the SW-5 Series of 5-input 4K switchers. Described by the manufacturer as ‘top of the line’, the model boasts two HDBaseT inputs and mirrored HDMI/HDBaseT outputs. It supports 4K/UHD at 60Hz, 4:2:0 video (10.2Gbps) and transmits A/V signals along with Ethernet, Power over Ethernet (PoE), and control up to 100m via HDBaseT. Other features include auto-switching, front-panel buttons, compatibility with IR, RS-232, or TCP/IP, three HDMI inputs and audio de-embedding. Housed in a 1U, half-rack width enclosure, the SW-5000ED is also equipped with USB and LAN ports for firmware updates.
Similarly using HDBaseT, three distribution amps have been added to the company’s range, including its first to feature HDMI-to-HDBaseT distribution of 4K/UHD content at 60Hz/4:2:0 video, with HDCP 2.2, PoE, and EDID.
Described as ‘integrator friendly’, the range comprises the eight output AT-UHD-CAT-8, the four output AT-UHD-CAT-4, and the four output AT-UHD-CAT-4ED (with Ethernet-enabled HDBaseT). The UHD-CAT-8 and UHD-CAT-4 provide up to 70m performance. Also onboard are HDMI outputs for daisy-chaining, plus IR and RS-232 connectors. The UHD-CAT-4ED also has an Ethernet input for connecting to IP-based systems.
Meanwhile the AT-UHD-CLSO-612ED is a six input switcher with built-in 4K scaling mirrored HDBaseT and HDMI outputs, and A/V signal extension up to 100m. Designed to work with the manufacturer’s AT-UHD-EX-100CE-TX HDBaseT transmitter and AT-HDVS-200-TX switcher, the unit also offers PoE, automatic display control and support for the Atlona Management System (AMS) network software platform. A microphone input with 48V phantom power is also included.
