Audac targets eco applications with compact amps

Audac has recently introduced two solutions for compact and economical audio applications. The AMP20 and AMP523 are compact audio amplifiers with an output power of 2 x 15W. As such, they are suited to work with small speaker systems in applications such as classrooms, offices, meeting rooms and residential applications.

Discreet in nature, the amps have been optimised to be hidden in applications, and boast ‘almost no heat dissipation’. The AMP20 and AMP523 also offer Class-D amplifier technology, and crucially, include standby mode and a high efficiency switching power supply – complying with energy efficiency and environmental requirements.

The AMP20 stands out as it offers a stereo balanced line and microphone input. However, each is equipped with a gain potentiometer to set the balance between music and speech. The setup can be expanded with optional wall volume controllers and wall remote mixers if desirable.

The AMP523 is particularly suited for applications where more versatile control is required, as it contains an input switcher capable of switching between four stereo unbalanced line inputs and a balanced microphone input with phantom power.

In addition, an integrated processor allows control through TCP/IP, RS-232 and RS-485, and freely available apps allow wireless control through smartphones and tablets. The setup can be expanded with optional wall controllers and wall input units if desirable.
