Audio-Technica’s selection of Dante-enabled products for its ceiling-mount power module has been expanded with new microphones, one hanging and one gooseneck. The ATND8734 ceiling-mount power module offers a Dante network output while providing a standardised input connection. Designed for permanent installation in US-standard 2-gang electrical boxes, the unit is equipped with an 80Hz low-cut UniSteep filter, selectable for a flat response or low-frequency roll-off, as well as a three-position input gain level selector and green/red LEDs. Both the new ATND931 six-inch gooseneck and ATND933 hanging mics are compatible with the power module. Audio-Technica also states that it has been working closely with DSP manufacturers including Biamp, Symetrix and Bose to ensure that Dante-compatible logic and remote control software can be integrated simply and without the need for additional cabling. An RJ-45 connector provides plug-and-play access to the Dante audio network over Cat-5e (or better) cable. The power module’s circular cover plate can also be painted with commercially available spray paint.
The ATND931 is a Dante-enabled version the manufacturer’s existing ES931 gooseneck microphone and two further ES931 configurations have been announced to match the varying needs of systems integrators: the ES931PM gooseneck microphone with AT8534 wall/ceiling plate power module and the ES931/MIC basic model, which is just the microphone without the power module.
