Auralexs MudGuard promises quality sound protection

In an effort to eliminate external noise bleeding and overtones captured by microphones in a recording session environment, Auralex has developed the MudGuard, which features Studiofoam sound-absorbing acoustical foam.
Described as ‘easy-to-use’, the MudGuard is said to be well suited for voiceovers and vocals. The Studiofoam sound-absorbing acoustical foam helps to reduce excessive room ambience and off-axis sound.
Included hardware allows the microphone to be moved closer to the MudGuard for a more controlled sound. More open sound can be achieved by moving the microphone away from the MudGuard.
The MudGuard is said to be easy to pack away and transport to various recording sessions, and it mounts to most microphone stands and clips, and has an adjustable height.
