Avia gains power

Crestron has expanded its Avia Audio Solutions range with the addition of multichannel amplifiers. Engineered to work natively with the manufacturer’s Avia DSP line, the new additions are the AMP-8075 and the AMP-8150. Aimed at commercial applications, the amps reportedly support applications requiring simultaneous low and high impedance speaker systems, as well as remote control and monitoring over the network.

The Class-D AMP-8075 and AMP-8150 offer 8-channels in a single rack space with a choice of 75W or 150W per channel. Each channel is individually configurable for either low-Z (4/8-ohm) or high-Z (70V or 100V). Ethernet connectivity enables configuration, monitoring, and control via the Avia Audio Tool software, a Crestron control system, or Crestron Fusion Cloud.

Away from the amps, the Avia Audio Tool software features a channel-strip architecture with a range of built-in professional tools. It uses a ‘drag and drop’ configuration to allow users to add channel strip objects from the Avia DSP and amplifier for control and to generate a touch screen UI without a central control system.
