axxent launch new automatic powered mixer

German manufacturer, axxent e.K, has introduced its new AMV-7240 automatic powered mixer.

Designed for installations in churches, schools, conference and meeting rooms, the mixer provides a complete solution that requires no other components except sound sources and loudspeakers.

Five microphone/line inputs are automatically activated by voice signals, and each of these inputs may be switched to manual operation. Additionally, two auxiliary inputs are available for other sound sources. Internally adjustable are three band equalisation, gain, compression, and input limiting for each of the microphone/line inputs. These adjustments are to be made by the sound system contractor.

Four fully parametric filters allow flexible frequency response adjustments – according to room acoustics, and a special link connector is available to connect a second AMV-7240 mixer. The output power is 200W of sine wave and 240W RMS, and features configuration for either low impedance or for 50/70/100V constant voltage operation. The internally adjustable equalisation section offers four filters (gain, bandwidth, centre frequency) to compensate for shortcomings of speaker characteristics and the acoustic environment.

The AMV-7240 has a height of two rack units (88mm), has detachable rack ears and may be used as a desktop unit without these rack ears.
