The latest versions of Barix’ ABCL programming platform, SIP client firmware and Crestron Rava application are stated to include improved functionality and new features.
ABCL supports all of the manufacturer’s hardware devices and IPAM modules for OEMs across paging, intercom, music delivery and SIP applications. The update’s new functionality reportedly includes GPIO support for the IPAM 301 and 302 modules in control applications, AD Gain control on IPAM 102 for MP3 files and support for a new LCD display on the Barix Annuncicom PS16 master paging station.
The update to the SIP client firmware is designed to extend the compatibility of Barix devices to additional PBX server brands, as well as the previously supported Cisco and Asterisk servers. According to the manufacturer, this will allow users to support paging and intercom within a SIP environment, integrate analogue stations into SIP based systems, and to feed background music into SIP phone systems.
Finally, Barix’ Rava application enables SIP compatibility between Crestron Rava touch panels and Barix Annuncicom devices. The new version is said to allow Annincicom operation in full duplex mode, which supports acoustic echo cancellation.
