Behringer launches personal monitor and begins shipping Eurocom

Behringer has debuted its new Powerplay P16 digital personal monitoring system, which the manufacturer says has been designed for ease of use with an intuitive interface.
The P16’s levels can be adjusted for up to 16 source signals, in addition to Pan (left to right mix) and EQ (bass, mid with sweepable frequency control and treble). A single P16-I audio interface can accommodate up to six P16-M personal mixers, thus creating a system large enough for a typical recording studio, a medium-sized band or a worship team. It can be expanded to drive up to 48 personal mixers and can work with wired and wireless IEM systems, headphones and powered floor wedges. The integrated, fully adjustable limiter protects the user’s ears and headphones and all the components connect via Cat-5 cables. An optional P16-MB mounting bracket allows the P16-M to be attached to any standard microphone, music or drum stand.
Meanwhile, Behringer is now shipping its Eurocom install line following the range’s launch at InfoComm 2010. Within the 59-strong product range is the MA6000 series of mixers and mixer-amplifiers plus the dual 240W MA6240 amplifier, the MA4000M mixer and MA4008 mixer-amplifier. The SN2108 and SN2408 mixer-amplifiers are also included alongside AX Series DSP-equipped, dual-channel amplifiers.
Other Eurocom products are the CL series of two- and three-way loudspeakers in both black and white, the CL series of subwoofers, the SL Series of on-wall loudspeakers and subwoofers, the ST series of in-ceiling loudspeakers and subwoofers and the fully-automatic TN6232 dual-channel feedback suppression processor.
According to Behringer, products in the Euromix MA6000 range offer up to 80 per cent efficiency power savings over traditional technologies due to their use of switch-mode power supplies and Class-D amplification. The dual 80W MA6008 and dual 180W MA6018 integrated mixer-amps are capable of driving 70V, 100V and 4-Ohm loads simultaneously and feature eight mic/line inputs on XLR/TRS and Euroblock connectors, together with four pair summed RCA aux inputs and a dedicated paging input.
The series also includes a standalone MA6000M mixer and the dual 240W MA6480A power amplifier with dual switchable mic/line inputs and phantom power. Dual bridging I/O connectors allow multiple units to be interconnected, making the MA6000 series scalable. The new series of automixers are equipped with remote volume control, source selection and system power.
