Behringer launches the FBQ100 Automatic Feedback Destroyer

Described as an ‘all in-one microphone preamp, delay line, noise gate, and compressor’, the FBQ100 is intended for use with microphones, acoustic instruments or as a delay line for large venue loudspeaker systems, boasting an algorithm which uses narrow 1/60 octave single-shot filters to attenuate feedback frequencies. The unit’s delay can be adjusted in metres, feet or milliseconds, while its maximum delay time is 2.5 seconds. Up to five FBQ100s can be placed side-by-side in the optional rack-mount kit.

The Nox series of DJ Mixers meanwhile comprises five models ranging from two to six channels, all of which can connect directly to a PC or Mac and use the manufacturer’s new Infinium contact-free VCA crossfaders. Included is the 2-channel Nox202, the 3-channel Nox303, the 2-channel Nox404, the 6-channel Nox606, and the 5-channel Nox1010.

Finally, the Xenyx range now includes the portable 117mm x 135mm 302USB mixer, which can be powered either by a USB port or an external adaptor, and the UFX1604, which is intended for small home studios and recording live applications directly onto USB. On board the mixer is a 16-track USB recorder, eight mic preamps, eight ‘one-knob’ compressors, phantom power, EQs and 24-bit onboard effects. A talkback section is also included, while the transport section doubles as a DAW controller.
