Shure has introduced the Beta 27 large diaphragm condenser for accurately targeting sources such as acoustic, wind and electric instruments for concise, accurate sound with a minimum of bleed. The Beta 27’s supercardioid polar pattern and flat frequency response is designed to provide excellent off-axis rejection for natural sound reproduction and optimal control in professional live sound reinforcement applications, at high SPLs. A tight polar pattern ensures high gain-before-feedback and maximum isolation from other sound sources. Additional features of the side-address model include a low mass, externally biased, 24 carat gold-layered Mylar diaphragm for optimum transient response and three-position, switchable low-frequency filter for reduction of unwanted low frequency noise and proximity effect for consistent low-end.
