Bittree responds to growth of fibre
Published: PRODUCTS
Developed in response to the rapid growth of fibre-optic cables within broadcasting and A/V, Bittree has released a new line of fibre patch panels, along with a range of audio patchbays.
Available for LC/LC, ST/ST and SC/SC, the manufacturer describes the new fibre feed-through panels as the ‘industry's first’ to provide optional designation strips. With the addition of this product line, Bittree aims to act as a single source for resellers and integrators looking to purchase both copper and fibre patching systems.
Meanwhile, the company’s new 3 x 32 Mini-Weco monitor patchbay adds an additional monitor row to the traditional Mini-Weco patchbay but without exceeding the 2RU panel height. Engineers can now use the third row as a test point, making the patchbay suited to a wider variety of applications.
Lastly, the 75-Ohm
digital audio coaxial patchbay was developed in response to the rapid growth of digital audio content. Designed for discreet AES signals, it is described by Bittree as offering ‘significant’ cost savings over video patchbays, whilst its BNC rear interface is designed specifically for fast and easy installation.
