Blackline gains an X-factor

Martin Audio’s R&D team has reinvented the Blackline series with the BlacklineX suite of passive loudspeakers. According to the manufacturer this represents ‘a reinvention for the modern era’. Designed for both installations and portable applications, the series comprises four two-way systems and three direct-radiating subwoofers.
The X8 ultra-compact, X10 compact, X12 and X15 high-powered models are eight-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch and 15-inch loudspeakers respectively. The subwoofer line-up comprises the X115 15-inch model, the X118 18-inch version and the X210 slimline double 10-inch cabinet. Each BlacklineX enclosure is made from plywood and finished with a textured black coating that reportedly provides durability, while white and custom RAL colours are also available to order. The seven units all include a user-rotatable horn allowing for horizontal or vertical orientation and a variety of mounting options.
