Bosch adds to the discussion

Bosch has expanded the functionality of its CCS 1000 D digital discussion system with the release of an extension unit alongside a software update. The extension unit expands the discussion system to cater for up to 245 devices, while the update to the system’s software reportedly increases flexibility.
The CCS 1000 D extension unit includes three power supply outputs and a built-in splitter, enabling installation at any point of the system. The updated software, meanwhile, enables multiple users to control a meeting by simultaneously connecting to the central unit. The update also brings a new interruption microphone setting that designates a particular connected device as the central microphone, overriding all other connected mics, as well as a standby mode.
Additionally, a new API allows for individual adjustment of microphone sensitivity, as well as connection to third party solutions. As well as providing the CCS 1000 D with increased compatibility with third party video switchers, systems integrators are now able to build customised solutions and interfaces to external apps via the API.
