Bose pages ShowMatch to ControlCenter

Bose Professional has developed the ShowMatch DeltaQ array loudspeakers that aim to better match the total array coverage of audience areas by allowing for changes in directivity or ‘Q’ for each module in the array. The American manufacturer has also recently developed the ControlCenter series of zone controllers, a set of remote controls for use with its FreeSpace and PowerShare amplifiers and ControlSpace processors.
The ShowMatch DeltaQ loudspeakers have a design suited to both permanent installation and portable applications, with field-changeable waveguides in compact enclosures allowing for either 70- or 100-degree horizontal coverage and enclosures that allow for the formation of DeltaQ, constant-curvature, or J-shape line-array configurations. Each full-range speaker incorporates four extended-HF EMB2S compression drivers together two 8-inch neodymium woofers. Modules are available with 5-, 10-, or 20-degree vertical coverage, whilst integrated rigging is rated for up to 24-box arrays. A compatible matching-width, single 18-inch subwoofer with a complete line of rigging accessories provides LF extension, including the ShowMatch SM5 module rigging which can be adjusted for longer throw.
Meanwhile, the new ControlCenter series of zone controllers comprises three distinct controller models and a convertor for simplifying wiring. ControlCenter CC-1 solely provides volume control, whereas CC-2 and CC-3 offer ring volume plus A/B source selection or volume plus A/B/C/D source selection respectively. Available in either black or white, these three models are equipped with an intuitive interface and can fit into a 1-gang electrical box. The additional ControlCenter CV41 4-to-1 converter can support up to four ControlCenter CC-1 zone controllers with a PS602 or PS604 PowerShare amplifier.
