Calibre brings streaming capabilities to its users

Calibre has launched a streaming video input option for the HQView600 series video scaler-switchers, HQView600A series audio-video scaler-switchers, LEDView700 series LED scaler-switchers and HQUltra700 series live events scaler-switcher series.
The new option enables ingest of HD H.264 content via gigabit Ethernet port, as well as this port remaining available for webserver and remote control API use, allowing the user to select a streaming video input channel via an additional input select key on the front panel. Input channels for streaming video include support for Calibre’s HQUltraFast input switching, as well as HQUltra scaling for the streaming video channel and all regular video input sources.
In addition, the company’s streaming video option includes H.264 hardware decode to alleviate load on the system software.
