CEDAR combines long-term storage with speech enhancement

CEDAR’s new Trinity platform works by combining noise reduction systems with a digital audio recorder to provide audio monitoring and event logging in a single package. With recording capabilities reportedly measured in years rather than days or hours, it provides users with a verified long-term archive and reference tool with built-in speech enhancement tools.

Users can record, monitor and enhance up to eight channels of audio, with an ‘always-on’ recorder. Old recordings can be played back, looped, and have the speech enhanced without interrupting the current recording. The system then allows the user to ‘catch up’ with real-time events ensuring nothing is missed.  For evidential purposes, the system offers a separate verification utility that can check the integrity of any project or archive.

Multiple Trinity Satellite systems can be connected to the host and allow multiple user access to the audio streams. Audio can be exported in .WAV format for users with other systems.

The manufacturer states that the user interface has been made as to be as intuitive as possible, therefore allowing the system to be operated by personnel with no detailed knowledge.
