CEDAR Audio’s DNS 2 has been designed as a smaller and lighter, portable, 2-channel version of it DNS 8 Live dialogue noise suppressor that can be used on location, as well as in the studio. The manufacturer states that the DNS 2 was created in response to demand from the market.
Offering analogue line and ultra low-noise microphone inputs and an AES digital input, alongside analogue and digital outputs, the DNS 2 is reportedly ‘pocket-sized’ and easy to use. CEDAR states that the device’s Learn function automatically identifies and adapts to background noise and dials in the right amount of noise attenuation. It can also reportedly compensate for unfavourable acoustic conditions and suppress reverberation.
