Celestion extends CDX and FTR ranges

Celestion has added the CDX1-1440 to its CDX compression driver range.
The new driver features a 1-inch exit ferrite magnet device and a titanium diaphragm.
The CDX1-1440 is a 1-inch exit compression driver that features a 1.4-inch diameter voice coil. The device provides 25W power handling (RMS) and delivers 106dB sensitivity over a frequency range of 1,500 to 20,000Hz.
Also newly released is the latest addition to the manufacturer’s FTR range of cast aluminium, ferrite magnet LF drivers, the FTR18-4080FDX. The 18-inch cast aluminium driver is reportedly capable of delivering 600W RMS (AES standard) power handling and 96dB sensitivity, and is aimed at reflex subwoofer applications. A 4-inch high temperature inside/outside voice coil dissipates heat.
The FTR18-4080FDX also features a ribbed, straight-sided, glass-loaded cone, complete with Flexirol surround and a double suspension, and weighs in at 9.8kg.
