Clear-Com enters transport market with ProGrid
Published: PRODUCTS
Based on AES3 and AES10 (Madi) standards, Clear-Com’s ProGrid allows users to transport and distribute audio, intercom, video and control data over fibre networks.
The system is described by the manufacturer as a ‘versatile, modular approach’ that enables uses to size their system based on a specific production and budget. It has full management and diagnostic capabilities over the Optocore and Sane platforms and in addition to A/V transport the box can perform routing and format conversion. Clear-com states that the system is quick to set up and break down.
The manufacturer has also demonstrated the BroaMan MUX-22 video distribution device, which provides a scalable, protocol independent transport of up to eight 3G, HD, SD-SDI video signals in each device, and can operate with ProGrid systems or as a standalone solution.
