US manufacturer Avlex is promising ‘exceptional audio performance with comfort, durability, and the ability to interface with a wide range of wireless systems’ with its new HS-48 single-ear headworn microphone and HSP-49 single-ear premium headworn microphone. Both earsets are aimed at a broad market including worship leaders, educators, business presenters, theatres and performers, plus broadcasters.
The HS-48 is described as a ‘standard grade omnidirectional condenser headworn microphone’, employing a 3.5mm back electret condenser capsule. Features include an adjustable boom and a flexible ear-hook constructed from a self-adjusting soft spring polymer, plus high gain before feedback.
Colour options include black, cocoa brown, or beige, and the earset ships with two screw-on replaceable audio cables, acoustically transparent windscreens, and a Mipro wireless body-pack adapter. Additional optional adapters are available for use with transmitters from Shure, Audio-Technica, AKG, Sennheiser, Electro-Voice, Lectrosonics, and Sony.
Alongside the above features, the HSP-49 boasts a premium 3mm back electret condenser capsule and offers an additional 10dB of sensitivity.
