Comprehensive control from Bosch’s DCN conference software
Published: PRODUCTS
Bosch has announced enhancements to its DCN conference software, including the incorporation of a synoptic overview function designed to provide comprehensive control, and the inclusion of a simultaneous interpretation module.
The overview function facilitates a complete summary of activity within a conference chamber, including which interpreter desks are in operation, the chosen language channel, which delegate is speaking, and which members are in the ‘request to speak’ list. Functionality has been extended further with the inclusion of the interpretation module, as each desk can be configured remotely by an operator via a display on a PC monitor.
The incorporation of 'speak-slowly' and 'help' indicators are also available with the enhanced software, enabling a user to alert a person to slow down if he or she is speaking too quickly, and to enable individuals to request help from the operator or clerk should they encounter any difficulties.
Control options include remotely switching individual microphones on or off during a session, and adjusting the microphone sensitivity to accommodate speakers with soft or loud voices.
Compatible with Windows 7, the new software features a ‘modern’ user interface optimised for touch-screen control, and the software comes as a modular package, so customers only pay for the sections that they require.
