Crest gets in the zone

Specifically designed for cost effective installations, Crest Audio has produced a new series of low impedance and constant voltage line Class-D amplifiers. Combining an 8x8 output mixing matrix with DSP, the all-in-one PZS-8250 powered zone matrix mixer provides four channels of Class-D power plus a wireless web interface for managing zoned audio systems. Any combination of inputs can be routed to any of the outputs, whilst level and mute controls are available on each of the matrix cross-points. The PZS-8250 can be configured and controlled from the front panel interface or by using a web interface hosted from the PZS-8250 via its internal Wi-Fi radio. The device can also be set as an ‘access point’ so that a Wi-Fi device can connect directly to the PZS-8250 without needing an external wireless router.
Five other new ‘out-of-the-box’ amplifiers were unveiled at 2016 InfoComm. The IPA 2300 and IPA 4250 models are two-channel 300W and four channel 250w mono industrial amplifiers, for which each channel features 4 Ohm, 25v, 70v or 100v constant voltage outputs. The
UMA 4300 and WMA 4300 are four channel models each providing 300W of power for 120v or 240v AC operation and a high pass filter for low frequency protection. The WMA 4300 is a wall mount amplifier with the same specifications as the UMA 4300, but comes with a securable backing box for flush or surface mounting applications. Finally, the UA 2050 is a two x 50w per channel utility amplifier.
