Based on the four-channel DA428, the KME DA230 two-channel digital amplifier offers 1.5kW per channel and comprehensive DSP features including a matrix router, six parametric equalisers two crossover networks, delay and dynamic processing.
Onboard factory and user memories allow storing of settings, while an SD card reader can be used to transfer preset and system information between units. Parameter adjustment and user navigation is managed using a five-key navigation pad together with four rotary encoders. The interface is completed by an LCD and four LEDs, indicating parameter values and the state of the amplifier.
The design also includes a module slot for future updates, such as connection to audio/control networks, and the PFC controlled switched-mode power supply ensures efficient and quiet operation. An extensive set of protection covers short circuit, DC on output, impedance undercut and digital monitoring functions.
Optional available PC software allows the creation of presets on a computer, which can be saved on an SD card and later transferred to the DA428 and DA230. Firmeware-Updates can also be transfered by an SD-card to both models.
The company has also released the Versio S 3 compact PA system. The system consists of two VB 15 15-inch 4Ω subs and two VL 10 10-inch top units, all powered by a DA428 amp. The VL 10s can be used as a full-range system for BGM or solo for speech reinforcement. The VL 10s can also be pole-mounted to give a wider horizontal dispersion of 110°.
