Dante-enabled BlackBox Recorder previewed

JoeCo Limited has previewed a 64-channel Dante-enabled version of its BlackBox recorder, named the BBR64-Dante Recorder. The unit follows the launch in 2011 of a 32-channel Dante model.

In addition to recording 64-channels of audio once connected to any Dante-enabled network, the 1U recorder also offers eight channels of analogue audio alongside 56 channels of Dante for capturing audience and ambience. Higher sample rate recording (88.2kHz and 96kHz) is also possible at a reduced track count.

As with other BlackBox Recorders, audio is recorded in Broadcast WAV format to an external USB2 (FAT32 formatted) drive and can be instantly imported into any Mac- or PC-based DAW. Other standard BBR features are also included.
