DirectOut updates now available for download

Germany’s DirectOut has made a number of updates available for download from its website. The new firmware applies to the manufacturer’s Monotone.42, and M.1K2, while a new version of Andiamo has been released.

The first update applies to the AES67-compliant Monotone.42 Madi to AoIP bridge, which is based on the Ravenna networking protocol. The device is equipped with four Madi and two gigabit network ports. With the new firmware, it supports 32 Ravenna-compliant multicast streams, with up to 256 channels per stream.

Next is the M.1K2 scalable 16-port Madi router, which now supports the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) system for monitoring device information.

Finally, Andiamo Remote for OS X supports Avid’s EuCon protocol for Pro Tools users. The Andiamo.MC 32-channel mic amplifier could previously be operated from Pro Tools via the ‘PRE’ protocol, but the integration of EuCon is described as providing ‘enhanced parameter control’.
