DPA introduces MMP-F modular active boom

DPA Microphones has released its new MMP-F modular active boom, increasing the versatility of its expanding d:dicate series of microphones. Also unveiled are new grids with gold and nickel finish for its d:facto vocal microphone.

Intended for use alongside d:dictate’s MMC4011 cardioid and MMC4018 supercardioid microphones, the MMP-F relies on the same technology as the company’s MMP-E active cable and is best suited to podium, floor stand and hanging applications. The modular boom is designed to enhance the d:dicate series of microphones, allowing for situations where the microphones have not been able to be easily used before, such as live sound and installation purposes.

Equipped with an active boom pole preamp, the MMP-F is available in variable lengths and gooseneck options. It is claimed to offer excellent radio frequency rejection – obtained through the DPA-designed impedance balancing with active drive – whist fitting to any modular d:dictate capsule.

The MMP-F Booms are available in 15-, 30- and 45cm hanging/table/podium options and as 75- and 120cm floor stand choices. In addition to the MMC4011 and MMC4018, the d:dictate range also includes the MMC4007 high-SPL omnidirectional capsule and microphones from DPA’s Reference Standard series including the modular 4000 and 2000 Series.
