DPA targets fast-paced applications with necklace mic

Featuring DPA’s acclaimed 4061 omnidirectional miniature microphone capsule, the d:screet range has been expanded with the addition of a miniature necklace mic, whilst 4066 and 4088 capsules have been added to d:fine.

The new necklace format allows for fast, repeatable, ‘do-it-yourself’ mounting, designed specifically for use by non-technicians. The 4061 capsule provides ‘clean and transparent sound with lots of headroom’, and therefore the mic is best suited to logistically awkward environments, such as reality show settings or theatrical performances, where mounting speed and sound quality is paramount.

The manufacturer has also added its 4066 and 4088 capsules to d:fine range of headset microphones. The new models comprise the d:fine 66 and d:fine 88.

When the Danish-manufacturer launched its d:fine Headset Microphones a few years ago, the company met a market demand that did not infringe on the popularity of the original 4066 and 4088s. Thanks to the strong popularity of both microphone lines, the manufacturer has now added the d:fine 66 omni and d:fine 88 cardioid microphones.

The new models are stated to be ideal for broadcast applications with vocal performers, or environments where users must be able to move freely. The new capsules give singers the sound quality of the 4066/4088 capsules combined with d:fine’s flexible ear-mount.
