The DT series of digital power amplifiers from Chinese manufacturer Kobble uses PWM circuitry with a high sampling rate. The series uses a high-quality switching power supply system, using a soft switch designs including APFC that allows them to operate from any voltage supply between 85V and 260V. The DT amplifiers conform to the IEC60065 and NRTL EMC standards, which reduce power consumption.
The amplifiers provide a 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range and have short-circuit protection for output. Kobble claims that ‘the difficult problem about inconsistency of high- and low-frequency short circuit triggering is solved through signal management and comparison’.
The digital circuit topology allows the DT series to offer higher power output than equivalent analogue power amplifiers.
