Dual loop amplifier range from Ampetronic

Claiming to ‘set a benchmark’ for the induction loop industry, Ampetronic presents the MultiLoop Driver (MLD) range of amplifiers; each capable of driving two loop systems in combination, boasting dual output channels and 90-degree phase shift in a compact single rack space.

In fact, rack space and thermal management requirements are said to be reduced by 50-90 per cent, allowing the MLDs to be used to drive combination loop systems for the most efficient possible coverage of large areas.

Comprised of three units with a range of output currents for efficient area coverage solutions, the range is headed up by the MLD9 which features twin 9A rms output channels and Class-G amplifiers that save up to a reported 60 per cent in energy consumption costs. The MLD9 is capable of driving areas of up-to 3,300 sq-m in combination with Ampetronic MultiLoop designs, allowing the manufacturer to boasts that it is ‘the highest output amplifier commercially available today’.

Voltage and current headroom provide more capability than their predecessors, and include new fail-safe thermal protection techniques to ensure reliability. In addition, status-reporting outputs on all amplifiers make for easy integration in other audio and safety systems.

Ampetronic’s new products also mark the adoption of the EN 62489-1 standard, a new reference for measurement and rating of induction loop equipment.
