DVDO launches first full 4K TPG

DVDO Inc, a provider of high-quality video connectivity solutions, has announced the first pocket-sized Test Pattern Generator (TPG), the AVLab TPG, which allows professional A/V installers to generate 4K custom test patterns to ensure proper set-up and calibration of 4K Ultra HD displays.

The AVLab TPG supports full 4K Ultra HD resolution at 50/60Hz, as outlined in Version 2.0 of the HDMI Specification, and is designed specifically for use with Colour Management System (CMS) software like Spectracal’s CalMAN. The calibration process is streamlined by interfacing directly with CMS software to automatically display 4K test patterns.

The unit is capable of displaying over 85 built-in patterns as well as being able to create custom ISF black and white Pluge patterns, that can be dynamically generated via a USB controller.

Powered by  an AC adaptor or via USB, the AVLab TPG is now available through authorized DVDO distributors, dealers and online partners.
