Dynacord debuts Promatrix 8000

Dynacord has introduced the Promatrix 8000, declaring that the new system combines audio reproduction with reliable public address and voice evacuation functions.
The digital network controller is intended to eliminate the need for separate PA/VA installations within medium to large applications such as stadiums, hotels, casinos, universities, sports/leisure facilities and office buildings, though it can also act as a standalone PA or voice evacuation solution.
Features include a signal-to-noise ratio of 105dB, multi-channel audio routing and multiband equalisation, while the controller offers eight slots for input and output cards for connection to call stations, music sources and stored-message systems. Multiple controllers can also be networked, feeding up to 1000 zones. In addition, control I/O modules can also be integrated for the additional of external functions such as the pan and tilt of a video camera, emergency lighting activation or the operation of entrance systems. The entire network, whether local or decentralised, is configured and controlled via Iris-Net software.
Also new from Dynacord is a redesigned range of Compact Mixing System (CMS) desks, comprising the 10-input CMS 1000, the CMS 1600 with 16 inputs, and the 22-input CMS 2200.
The mixers include six Aux busses, two 24-bit stereo effects units, an 11-band graphic equaliser, vocal voicing filters and a low-cut filter. Newly integrated into the range meanwhile is a 4-in, 4-out USB interface (for PC and Mac) to support four channel recording and playback.
