E-Lite 1800

Crest Audio has introduced the E-Lite Series of power amplifiers, starting with the E-Lite 1800 and E-Lite 1800 DSP models. Using a class-D design and switch-mode power supply, these models weigh less than 5kg, yet offer 900W of power per channel. The power supply allows these amplifiers to deliver a stable performance with low frequencies down to 2 ohms operation. The E-Lite 1800 DSP features an onboard digital signal processor providing delays (120ms per channel), adjustable crossover, adjustable limiter, parametric EQ, HF driver EQ, four user preset storage locations and stereo/mono operation with lockable security settings. The front-panel LCD allows quick use of presets, while the USB port allows users to load presets and enables external setup and adjustment. Furthermore, the E-Lite DSP section integrates Waves MaxxBass Bass Extension technology, which uses psychoacoustics to create precise harmonic overtones that give the perceived effect of adding low frequencies to the mix.

Crest Audio E-Lite Series amplifiers feature two channels with channel-independent, fourth order 100Hz crossovers housed in a steel chassis. The Automatic Clip Limiting circuitry prevents the amplifier from sending potentially damaging clipped signals to the loudspeakers. Additional onboard protection circuitry includes DC, temperature, signal and active safeguards, all referenced on the front panel with LED indicators.
