Designed for fast deployment with no programming required, Crestron has released the HD-MD-400-C-E, the latest addition to its range of HD scaling presentation switchers and extenders.
The HD-MD-400-C-E is composed of a compact 3x1 transmitter and an HD receiver. It includes a scaler for optimal image display, automatic switching for HD resolutions up to 2K, a display control, Ethernet connectivity and HDBaseT functionality.
Included are two HDMIs, one VGA and an analogue audio input, supporting connection from computers, mobile devices and other media sources. The receiver features an additional HDMI input for a local source.
The manufacturer states that the signal can be routed up to 70m, with auto-detection switching the display on and off as and when signals are present, reducing the need for a control panel. Crestron goes on to explain that the HD-MD-400-C-E was designed with built-in scaling to support a range of formats from both digital and analogue signals.
