Efficiency matches performance in the Zetta

Known for its high performance power amps, Spanish manufacturer Ram Audio has presented a new series of seven 2- and 4-channel models. Described as highly efficient, the Class-H Zetta Series is the result of an in-depth study looking at the best compromise between economy and performance, and has been targeted at installation and touring applications.

With a 2U format and a depth of 25cm, the Zetta amps weigh only 6.5kg and provide up to 1,800W (2-channel) and 1,000W (4-channel), along with a control power supply built upon the patented QuantaPulse circuitry.

The amplifiers are equipped with XLR and Speakon connectors from Neutrik, with extra controls for volume adjustment also present. The upside-down design of the unit prevents the accumulation of dust to increase its lifespan, and is combined with a ‘particularly effective’ rear-to-front cooling system made from aluminium heat sinks and temperature-controlled fans to prevent overheating.
